The substrate should be clean, sound, dry and free of any loose materials, grease and contaminants, which may compromise the performance of the product. If the cap ply membrane is not installed within 24 hours after the installation of SA SMOOTH PLY 40 membrane, primer will be required on SA SMOOTH PLY 40.
SA SMOOTH PLY 40 membrane is adhered to the deck by peeling off the split-back silicone release film and applying it over the primed surface. Once installed, pressure must be applied over the whole surface using a membrane roller to ensure good contact. Side lap joints must be a minimum of 3 in (75 mm) and end lap joints a minimum of 6 in (150 mm).
